Give your agent a head start

Every codebase here was built by a developer who already got it working. Start from the one closest to what you want, and spend your agent's time on the parts that are new.

Apps and SaaS

You get the whole codebase as a git repository. Updates come as commits you can merge into your own changes.

git clone moatless.store/git/…

Component kits

New

Install them with the shadcn CLI and they land in your project as source files you can edit.

npx shadcn add @kit/pricing-table

Elixir packages

New

Add them to mix.exs from Moatless's Hex repository, the same way you add any other dependency.

{:kit, "~> 1.0", repo: "moatless"}

npm packages

New

Install them with npm, pnpm, Yarn or Bun from Moatless's npm registry, the same way you install any other package.

npm install @acme/kit

Moatless opened in October 2026, so there are only a few apps for sale so far, and no component kits or packages yet.

Buy and sell source code for apps and SaaS

Moatless is a marketplace where developers sell the source code of apps, SaaS products, starter kits, and tools they've built, so you can buy working code instead of building it from scratch.

When you buy a codebase, you get the source code itself and a license to change it and build your own product on it.

What do I get when I buy a codebase?
Its full source code, as a git repository you clone with git. You can change it and run it however you like, under the license shown on its listing. Each listing says what the code is built with and which services you'll need to run it, such as a database or a payment provider.
Can I use it in a commercial product?
Yes. Unless a codebase comes with a license file of its own, each purchase gives one person or organization a license to use the code in what they build, including products they sell. You can't resell or redistribute the code itself. The Terms of Service have the details.
How do updates work?
Each listing says what's included. Some include every future release with the purchase. Others offer a subscription to updates, which charges you only for the months (or years) in which the seller publishes a new release. Each release arrives as a regular git commit, so you can merge it into your own changes, and you can cancel anytime and keep the releases you have.
Can I get a refund?
Since you get the code as soon as you pay, purchases aren't refundable, except when you couldn't get the code because of a problem on our side, you were charged twice, or the law requires a refund. The Refund Policy explains each case.
How do I sell my code?
List a codebase from a GitHub repository or any git URL, set a one-time price and, if you like, a subscription to updates, and publish releases from its branches or tags. You keep 90% of each sale, less Stripe's processing fee, and you're paid out every Friday. How selling works has the details.
Can my coding agent do this for me?
Yes. Give your agent the prompt at the top of this page and it will install the Moatless skill. From there it can search for codebases that fit what you're building and clone the ones you buy. If you sell, it can write your listing from your code and publish your releases.

Have code someone else could build on?

If you have a side project, a startup that didn't work out or a kit you already sell, you can list it in a few minutes.
